When tattooing initially became popular in the west it was stereotyped towards criminals, military and those of the community considering themselves as "rebellious"
Nowadays everybody and their grandmother are getting tattoos and it's not just to "look cool" or be "with it". A lot of tattoos have more meaning than some people may consider which is why I'm starting this next short segment on specific tattoo themes and their relevance, starting with Memorials.
Memorial tattoos - as the name suggests - are designed and inked for the remembrance of those who have passed on or whom people just generally miss even if they haven't died. More people are receiving memorial tattoos nowadays because they are realizing that it's an effective means to recall the memories of their loved ones.
It isn't just the tattoo itself that can emotionally heal them; some people believe the pain of the needle itself can set forth a personally justified hurting, in the hope that the one they are getting this for might look upon on them and see just how much they would endure in remembering their names.
These are just some of the examples of brilliant memorials that are found around the www; the time and money spent in these truly shows their love towards the intending name.
In short, memorial tattoos, in my eyes, are truly a magnificent reason to be "inked" and in my mind i find them the most honorable tattoos to get in a persons name.
